The Profusser

I don't want to give the wrong impression with this blog. Sometimes I do cry a little. Dad calls me the Profusser (mom is still the Professor). Actually, my face gets really much redder than these photos depict!

Four Weeks

Yesterday I was 4 weeks old. I am getting really big. Mom weighed me today and I am almost 9 and a half pounds. I'm gaining almost a pound a week! (I assume this trend will not continue unabated.) Click the link below to see more of my 4-week photos (you are probably only interested in seeing so many if you are a grandparent or something)

On the Ball

I like to bounce on the ball to quiet down sometimes... but I think my dad is getting a little tired...

Hi there!
OK, enough photos already!

In the sling

I love to be in the sling. I make mom walk around at first, but at least for now, I am fine if she wants to sit down and relax after a few minutes. Very comfy!

Grandma Martha

Grandma Martha (aka Human Rocking Chair) left Tuesday. We all miss her!

Grandma Martha is a great multi-tasker. She can feed me, rock me, talk to my Dad, and listen to NPR in one ear!

California Baby

Yesterday I went to the beach for the first time with mom, dad, Grandma Martha, and Aunt Emily. Aunt Em took some nice photos, though I wasn't really awake for that.

Hanging Out

Sometimes when I am awake and not eating, I hang otu with my dad.

Or make faces at my mom.

Bye, Bye Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa had to leave today, but I was real calm and peaceful to give them a last snuggle before they left. I'll miss them, and I know that mom and dad are going to miss them too. But I guess they'll be back soon!

Jack's First Bath

Finally mom and dad gave me a bath. I didn't love it, but there were parts that seemed OK.

... and I was peaceful again pretty quick...

General Disclaimer about the Blog

My dad does not approve of writing blogs in the voice of babies, but I think it's cute. Anyway, I don't see why he thinks he can abridge my free speech already.

Jack and Fozzie

I'm sure everyone is wondering how my dog Fozzie is handling my arrival. Overall, he doesn't seem too interested in me. Sometimes he sniffs me a little (supervised by mom and dad, of course). He finds it a little disturbing how many people come to the house on account of my arrival, but overall, he seems fine with the whole thing.

Jack with Grandma and Grandpa

I lost a little too much weight, so mom and dad had to give me a little nourishment from the bottle. This was fun for Grandpa and Grandma, and I beefed up real quick. (I'm way past my birthweight now!)
