Meeting my Great-Nana

Today I got to meet my Great-Nana (my Mom's Mom's Mom--her husband Jack is my namesake).

Sitting

I have been sitting up on my own for a couple weeks now. I still need a parent to be fairly close-by in case I topple over. Here I am in my new Boulder padded ... er ... I mean play-room. I can also roll over both ways--I don't just roll and roll, but I do manage to get myself to a different place from where I started.

My command center

My parents got me this "exersaucer" and I like it very much. It had about 500 pieces and took my new nanny Ariel about a whole day to put together. There is a lot of stuff to play with!

Road Trip

On our way to Boulder from LA, we stopped for a morning in Zion National Park. Fozzie stayed at the Doggie Dude Ranch while we visited the Park. It was quite beautiful, and we got an early start to avoid the terrible heat (109 degrees according to the car!). Getting my feet wet in Flathead Lake

Flathead Lake is a little cold, but I didn't mind too much! Next year, maybe I will get my whole body in.

Captain Jack

I drove the boat today! Dad says that "even in Montana" I am a little young for boat driving, so Grandpa helped me out. It was pretty smooth boating, though there were a couple other boats on our lake.

Preparing for my first boat ride

I'm up at Flathead Lake and today I went on my first boat ride ever. It was a pretty serious occassion, so I remained pretty calm and solemn. The life jacket was a little annoying, but I tolerated it ok (life would be a lot more fun if not for all this safety equipment!).

Woods Hole

Hanging out with Dad and Grandma

At Stony Beach (where my dad learned to swim!)
Getting my feet wet in the Atlantic (I didn't like this so much, actually...)
Playing with Dad

Cambridge

Again, not too easy to get 3 babies and 3 mommas looking in the same direction, especially when spills are happening nearby. We got to see lots of mom's friends from grad school at the big conference. Plus I got to hang out with Grandma. (Mom, me, Cristina and Veronica, Tara and Piper).

Jack in a Box

I enjoy hanging out in the box because I can sort of sit in there, whereas I have some trouble sitting on my own. Later I plan to put some of my toys in this box.

Colorful Colorado

We have arrived in Colorado!

Mom and dad are a little overwhelmed getting settled in here in Boulder after 3 days on the road ... and two weeks of travel before that. I like it just fine here. I've also been to Woods Hole and Zion National Park. More pictures soon, I promise.
