Contemplating nature back at site 212

When we got back from our day of activities, Jack wanted to change into his night-time clothes (it was cold at night) to "signal that the hiking part of the day is over and the fire part of the day has started"... so he did that while I made the fire and went to the bathroom. When I came back, he was changed into the night-time clothes and just sitting quietly on a rock, taking it in.

Hiking around Loop D

We went to check out another part of the campground and we found an awesome hiking area, with another little creek that we could wade in. We had to make our way back up a pretty steep slope, but we took our time, and Jack did great.

Genereal Sherman Tree Trail

The General Sherman Tree is the largest living organism in the world. The coastal redwoods are taller and some other things are wider, but by volume, General Sherman cannot be beat... sadly, many people want to take a picture with the tree itself, and we were not patient enough, so no picture of the tree itself.
