Picture Day
Jack was willing to dress up for picture day (which was a big concession because he normally insists in shorts and a T-shirt "with something on it"), but he really wanted the vest, and he really wanted it unbuttoned. "It's my style." OK then, handsome little boy.

Sitting up (with a little help)
Rose really likes to sit up in the Bumbo, just to look around, play with toys, or play catch with brother. She can even sit for a few seconds on her own (if you prop her just right).

Getting so big!
I can't believe how much more grown up Jack is looking. The change of hair definitely contributes, but at last fall's first day of school, he had just a tiny bit of baby left in his face. Now he is all boy... Still cute though!!
Giggles
Rose has started to giggle. Mostly on the changing table. It is hilarious. Video coming soon.
A little snuggle with Grandma Martha
We enjoyed a quick visit from Grandma Martha while she was on the West coast for a conference in San Diego. Rose got a snuggle, Jack, daddy and grandma visited the car museum, and Jack got to see Grandma's train leave Union Station. (And mommy saw Union Station for the first time--they really did do a nice job restoring it...)
Rose loves the infant stim-mobile!
Rose has really started to engage with the toys and other baby dangling things. She loves the infant stim-mobile. She also likes to look at her brother (and other people).
Rose is part of book time
Jack likes to have Rose be part of the bedtime routine. This night Rose seemed game, though sometimes she is less so. Jack is also learning to keep "a good distance" from Rose's face, as he has been so enthusiastic about having a sister (and so sure that what she really wants is to see his face) that he sometime gets up in her personal space and upsets her. He has also collapsed the travel bouncing chair twice in his efforts to view Rose close up. Luckily, not injuries.
First day of school
Jack started school as a Red Caboose September 12! He is going every morning and seem to be really liking it (most of the time).
