Berkely Pit
Outings
We did many more outings this year, including Glacier Park, where we stopped at the awesome river picnic area across from the Trail of the Cedars trailhead. Jack walked the whole Trail of the Cedars (OK, that's less than a mile and flat) but also went all the way to the Hidden Lake Overlook on Logan Pass (3 miles, with elevation). Rose slept for the Trail of the Cedars, walked for a bit at Logan Pass, was carried a bit, and then was carried a lot (but not the whole 3 miles, we turned back).
We rode an Amish waggon to town for pizza. When he slowed on the uphill (poor horse pulling 7 people!), Rose said "faster, turnid on!" She liked it, but fell asleep on the way back!
We went to the National Bison Range, and boy did we see bison... right in the road. And a lot of other animals too.
This is not a green screen. On the trail at Logan Pass.

Rose on the Gladiator
With cousin Emily, cousin Sam, Cousin Katee, and Jack (not so sure about that). Both Jack and Rose had a great time at the Flathead family gathering day-- Jack called it the small family reunion because later in the trip, we went to the big family reunion at Fairmont Hot Springs, for everyone descended from the 8 children of my great grandparents!
Jack LOVED to ride this thing behind the boat -- fast and across waves and whipping around. I have no pictures because I was too busy white-knuckling and holding onto Rose on the boat to use the camera. But thanks to Uncle Salvatore and Uncle Pate for sacrificing their bodies to ride with Jack (he is too light to ride alone)!
