Tree Trimming

We had lots of little people and their parents to help us trim the tree. They did a pretty nice job, even if we had to do a little bit of upward relocation of some of the ornaments to balance things out a little. Many of the ornaments made by the economists for the Christmas of '02 still survive and for the most part still slighlty outperform anything made by the 2 year-olds. We'll see about next year.

When we went to the "tree farm" (on the corner of Santa Monica and Beverly Glen), Jack really, really wanted to get a baby tree in addition to the big tree, and I caved in on that. He did have a lot of fun decorating it with colored lights that he picked out (even though Dad considers them tacky) and the small ornaments. Somehow, I didn't manage a picture of that one.

He also saw another little person at the tree farm and asked me, "Can I go run around with him?" I said yes, and he went up to the kid and said "hi," followed by blank stares back and forth. Eventually they sorted out the introduction and commenced running around. Jack is quite social with other kids these days, and one of his favorite activities is "running around."
